My name is Lauren and I am a student at Brigham Young University - Idaho and I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will be posting quotes, scriptures, mormon messages, the blessings in my daily life and much much more. This blog is a way for me to keep learning and to share with people what I know so that it sticks with me a little bit better.

Today was hard. I was negative I feel and tried a lot today and I don’t know if I really “endured it well”. Anyways I am thankful for patience. Some how I have patience and I am not sure where that comes from, but I am thankful I do.
CYMB [Count your many blessings] - 9th edition.
This is for Sunday, sorry I have skipped a couple days. These are my last couple days at home for a while and I am thankful for family. [Even though mine are CRAZY] I love them to pieces. Last night my niece and nephew spent the night and we had fun. I also made dinner for my family. Teriyaki chicken salad sandwiches, sweet potato french fries and salad. Then a dessert that my brother… and I quote said, “Lauren, this is the best thing to happen to my life. You could… you should sell this!!!” Lol he is way great. My family is way great. They lift me up, they give me what I need. Even though I am exhausted from the slumber party and my back is killing from all this cooking, I wouldn’t have changed it. I feel so accomplished and loved. I love them so much.
Count your many blessings - 3rd edition
I am thankful for the still small voice. A couple days ago I wrote a talk on the Holy Ghost and in my preparation for it I read on www.lds.org that one of the jobs of the Holy Ghost is to keep us out of physical and spiritual harm. I always knew this but it is a great reminder.
Yesterday I was reluctant to follow the still small voice, but eventually I did and in that there was safety and peace.
This blessing might be a weird one. But modern technology, more specifically… the internet. I know it can be a hinderance to people, but the internet when used correctly can be amazing. The whole wide world is open to learn about, and I am learning to take advantage of that. I spent all yesterday learning about temples and reading about the symbolism on my favorite ones, don’t worry that is soon to come.
